3:00pm to 4:30pm EST.
Participants can call in at either time.

About GRAD Lab
GRAD Lab is designed to excite and encourage under-represented STEM undergraduate students on the importance of advanced engineering and science education. Each day we will cover one of four important topics to prepare students for an advance degree.

Topics By Day

Monday, July 13, 2009 - “Why graduate school?”
Frank discussion on topics such as financial benefits, expansive career opportunities, information on benefits of a research career, and global competitive trends will be discussed.

Tuesday, July 14, 2009 - “How to apply to graduate school”
Workshop will give specific tips on how to submit a competitive graduate application.

Wednesday, July 15, 2009 - “How to fund graduate school”
A panel of funders will discuss resources available to fund graduate school such that you can go to graduate school for free!

Thursday, July 16, 2009 - “Voices from the field, real life experiences”
Hear and ask direct honest questions of current graduate school students, recent graduates and/or young faculty/industry professionals on whether graduate school was worth it!
